Capture the extraordinary in the everyday:

A full day to immerse yourself in street photography with filmmaker and photographer Xavi Herrero. An intensive, hands-on 10-hour workshop to hone your observation skills, improve your street photography technique, and explore urban storytelling with your own ethical and creative perspective.

Addressed to:

Amateurs, students and photographers who wish to delve deeper into street photography, regardless of their technical level.

Syllabus:

10:00-10:30 a.m. Galerie Art Nomade

-Introduction and visual observation. What is and what is not street photography?

-Urban composition and narrative.

-Natural light and technical control. Appropriate equipment. Focal lengths.

-The three resources of street photography and portraiture

-Ethics in street photography.

10:30-17:30h. Departure with various locations

-Guided photography tour. Practical tour of Barcelona.

5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Galerie Art Nomade

-Editing of the photographs taken

-Collective viewing and final constructive criticism.

About Xavi Herrero :

Independent photographer and filmmaker. With a keen eye for detail and a unique sensitivity to the everyday, Xavi Herrero has developed his career at the intersection of photography, documentary film, and visual experimentation. He has directed numerous audiovisual projects with a social and artistic focus, and his work has been exhibited at major international festivals. His style is characterized by a profound observation of his surroundings and an honest approach to people and their stories. Currently, he combines his creative and cultural management work with teaching, sharing his expertise in workshops focused on street photography and visual storytelling. He was a member of the Jury and Portfolio Reviewer at the IPFA Awards 2026 in the Street Photography category.
