"Moonface" at the Gijón Photography Meetings

Street Photography Barcelona will present at the XXII Gijón Photographic Meetings the feature film directed by Xavi Herrero about the photographer Christine Spengler

The documentary, which explores the life and work of acclaimed photographer Christine Spengler, takes us to a worldview that is a hymn to hope, paradoxically, through war.

Christine Spengler is the central figure in this documentary, which won two Silver Biznagas at the 2019 Málaga Film Festival , and which explores her life during some of the greatest wars of the 20th century. Moonface is not only a journey through the professional life of war correspondent, artist, and writer Christine Spengler ; it is also a journey through time through the greatest wars of the second half of the 20th century.

From the intimate perspective of Christine Spengler, we discover the photographer's essence and complex personality, which takes her from black and white war photography to her current surrealist work.

The film is an Ibizacinefest production, and SPB is launching a second phase of its distribution focused on photography festivals.
