Street Photography Barcelona Contest joins the IPFA

As a first and important step prior to the announcement of our first Open Call and reaffirming our collaborative vocation, Street Photography Barcelona has joined the International Photography Festivals Association (IPFA).

IPFA was created following the First International Gathering of Photography Festivals in Barcelona in July 2025, where professionals gathered to reflect on the needs of the sector. During that meeting, we identified the urgency of building stronger networks, advocating for greater recognition, and ensuring the sustainability of photography festivals worldwide. Today, this motivation continues to guide our mission to strengthen the connection, inclusion, and influence of photography festivals globally.

As directors, curators, producers, and professionals of photography festivals around the world, we recognize the growing importance of our collective work in fostering cultural dialogue and artistic innovation. The International Photo Festivals Association (IPFA) was born from this shared vision to provide a platform to strengthen festivals, connect professionals, and amplify the role of photography globally.
